Caliope era la única groupie de una banda sin nombre; murió bajo condiciones extrañas, ahogada en su propia bañera. Sin embargo, la autopsia demostró que Calíope no tenía ni una gota de agua en sus pulmones y el caso fue archivado. Conmovidos por la tragedia, los integrantes de la banda adoptaron su nombre de manera que ella pudiera encontrar la paz, y continúan investigando la misteriosa muerte de su groupie a través de canciones.

Allegados al grupo aseguran que por medio de una combinación determinada de sus canciones en sucesión ininterrumpida, es posible entablar una comunicación con el más allá para conversar con alguien que dice llamarse Calíope.

Testigos relatan de una de sus presentaciones en vivo que en pleno trance, hacia la apoteosis de la noche, una cuerda de guitarra reventaba y obligaba al grupo a interrumpir su interpretación. La comunicación en ese momento se perdió y no lograron contactar con Calíope desde entonces.
